The objective of this project is to strengthen the capacity of local stakeholders to effectively address issues related to radicalization and violent extremism and to support their advocacy initiatives within the Local Security Council of the Municipality of Librazhd. Tailored training activities were developed in close collaboration with local stakeholders, taking into account their specific needs and local contexts. These trainings focused on the legal framework in Albania related to terrorism and violent extremism; the role of the media in raising awareness and providing accurate information on these issues; approaches to reintegration and the provision of basic local services for at-risk groups and returnees; the importance of understanding gender dynamics in preventing violent extremism; the critical role of civil society in advocating on these matters.
